WAUKESHA COUNTY

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

Upon starting my role, I knew very little about working for a nonprofit and even less about Community Foundations. In my endeavors to learn about the work they do, I discovered a lot of myths surrounding this type of organization. I curated the social graphics below and the corresponding post copy to help spread the word about Community Foundations, debunk these myths, and grow our brand's awareness.

History

In 1999, the Waukesha County Community Foundation (WCCF) was created by and for the people of Waukesha County. And in 2024, during the organization's 25th Anniversary, the Foundation executed an initiative that would to honor its history while carrying out plans for the future. The WCCF hired the expertise of local writer, Malcolm McDowell Woods, to interview living founders, past leaders, and other affiliates in order to write a narrative that would encapsulate the Foundation's origins and the quarter century of progress that followed. The design process for this project was executed by yours truly (Emily) and is featured here.
