WAUKESHA
COUNTY FAIR

The Waukesha County Fair is the oldest county fair in the state of WI and is run by a volunteer board of directors making it a non-profit separate from the Waukesha County Government. During the summer of 2019, I had the amazing opportunity of becoming their Social Media & Marketing Coordinator. During my time with this non-profit organization, I created numerous media pieces in digital and print formats. To the left you will find a few of the pieces I created utilizing graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop & Canva. Through this employment opportunity I thoroughly expanded my graphic design skillset, developed email campaigns, and expanded the fair's social media reach through contests and engaging posts. During the week of the event I connected with on-site media partners, captured the Fair experience on camera, and carefully planned and executed sponsor posts.

THANK A FARMER BANNER
As mentioned above, I created a variety of digital and print pieces for the Waukesha County Fair. One of these pieces, and the largest by far, was an 8 foot by 4 foot long banner celebrating and thanking farmers. This was created as a special surprise for the Waukesha County Farm Bureau, which was celebrating their centennial year! This banner was hung in one of the forum buildings for the duration of the event so that fairgoers could leave their message of gratitude for farmers. The banner was presented at the International Association of Fairs (IAFE) and won 2nd place for its category.
